Review: HOLY FUCK. Where DO I even begin? I have to begin somewhere because otherwise Im gonna do this review 10 pages long. It was just absolutely amazing. I am not even sad that I waited 3 years for this. NOT EVEN. IT was pure CINEMA. The movie itself Id say is split in 2 parts: 1st part focused more on romance, slice of life, Makima started dating Denji, he realises he loves her so much and then the Reze or I should call her THE BOMB GIRL gets introduced really random bc of the rain and Denji having a flower at him xd. Reze is really charming (NOT) at first, Denji gets tricked by that and falls for her bc his whole life no girl did what she says or does for him. We can really get easily attached by Reze, her pool scene, the fireworks scene and generally at the Cafe scenes makes you attach to this relationship between them so so much. Denji realises he now likes 2 girls and has no idea who to choose from. From here, the MOVIE UNLEASHES. We enter in the 2nd part, someone wants to kill Reze cuz hes looking for Denji heart, but then Reze is not really the “shy” and “helpless” girl. Then, starting with the fireworks scene, its when everything unfolds and the part where I started feel so bad for Denji getting tricked by girls and stuff, like even tho I attached to Reze I easily started envy and not really like her. Like I wanted in every moment for her to die faster to not cause more casualties to anyone anymore, and this is the moment where she is found out as BOMB GIRL. She is extremly powerful, as Kishibe in the end said: “A soviet union created weapon”, we dont really get her past, backstory, all we know is that she knows about Makima, she calls her “witch”, they met before, she lied about going to school, she decides to run away after not being able to kill Denji, but big mistake cuz she stays for Denji in the end and gets killed by Makima + Angel Devil. Maybe here the manga will tell us more than what we got already. For the rest of the movie is peak cinema, action, fighting, EVERYTHING is crazy. Is just insane. Reze not giving up, wanting Denji’s heart. Do we really know for what? Not really, i think Beam mentioned something that she is with the gun devil but i do not know. Story is crazy, like it surpassed what i expected from the 12 eps. , and I just dont know how much more cinema i can take from whats to come next. Characters are unique, cool and weird yet insane at the same time. You dont know what to expect from them. The music slapped, I have to find the OST cuz its amazing. The animation? Bro, there is legit nothing that comes even close to this. Mappa just invested and went all in. Like holy fuck you have no idea. The enjoyment for this was at its peak, I just cannot wait to go with friends and watch it in the theater. Holy fuck. This movie was a pure masterpiece 10/10 would rewatch it every single day of my life. If i dont finish the story before the end of my life then i wasted everything and lost everything.
